Experiences from Our Visitors
Heartfelt testimonials that capture our passion for offering unforgettable eco-tourism adventures—immersed in nature, shared with loved ones, and lived in the magical surroundings of La Yeguada, Veraguas.
“My wife Paty and I arrived in La Yeguada to explore the reserve, but in the middle of our adventure we got lost in the forest. That’s when Gregorio and Ronaldo appeared, rescuing us and generously guiding us back.
Along the way, we shared stories, and the conversation turned to the culinary traditions of the region. Gregorio told us about Cafongo, a nearly forgotten peasant soup that his mother still knew how to prepare. The next day, we cooked it together and discovered a dish full of energy, history, and flavor—one truly worth preserving.
That experience of friendship, hospitality, and culture was so special that we called it ‘The Lost Soup.’ More than a rescue, it became an encounter that allowed us to deeply connect with the people of La Yeguada and their extraordinary heritage.”

Visiting La Yeguada means encountering a corner of Panama where nature, history, and the soul of its people intertwine in profound ways. This landscape of ancient volcanoes, pine forests, and misty trails captivates not only through its beauty, but through the warmth of those who inhabit it.
Beyond being a natural gem, La Yeguada is a cultural destination with immense potential. Here, rural traditions remain alive, sustained by a hardworking community proud of their land and committed to its conservation. Every smile, every conversation, every dish served with care reminds us that tourism can also be an act of mutual encounter and respect.
We firmly believe that La Yeguada’s tourism future should focus not only on showcasing what exists, but on cultivating what it can become. With a community ready to guide, share, and protect, La Yeguada has the potential to become a model of conscious, inclusive, and transformative tourism.
